Impact Report 2025
Submitted to theTrimble Foundation Fund
Mesage from the Chairman
Dear Supporters,
On behalf of the Board of Education Alliance for Ukraine, it is exciting to share the activities and achievements during the first half of this year. This report covers many details, and the overriding themes are clear.
Although war is ongoing, and no end is in sight, planning for the post-war recovery in Ukraine is well under way. If carried out to its full potential, the rebuilding of Ukraine may prove to be one of the most significant European economic projects of this century.
The requirement for skilled labor and capital will be on a scale almost unimaginable, therefore, the need to leverage technology to maximize efficiency and quality will be imperative.
The courageous people of Ukraine are anxious to learn and teach the use of these technologies and tools in the enormous job of reconstruction.
This report highlights the many ways Education Alliance for Ukraine is already making a meaningful impact-while building the capacity, partnerships, and strategy needed to support the talented and determined people of Ukraine in the critical years ahead.
Thank you for your generous support.

Mesage from the Executive Director
Dear Trimble Foundation Fund Leadership,
I'm pleased to share this report covering months of intense progress, made under some of the most challenging conditions.
At first glance, this photo may seem incongruous-but this moment captures the spirit that drives our work in Ukraine. The Dean of Ukraine's State Tax University had just awarded me the letter "U" from the University welcome sign, surrounded by the ruins of their bomb-damaged main building.
After more than three years of war Ukrainians remain creative, energetic, grateful and unshakably committed to a democratic, European future-and still able to share a moment of laughter amidst the rubble.
Their resilience isn't just remarkable, it's a powerful reminder of why this work matters. It's not only a story of survival; it's a call to action.
Drawing on insights from over 10,000 kilometers traveled across Ukraine and more than 150 in-depth stakeholder engagements, we are more committed than ever to advancing construction technology and training the hundreds of thousands of professionals essential to Ukraine's reconstruction. The scale of the need is immense and so is our resolve to meet it.
Thank you for standing with us.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, and in close collaboration with 12 professors across three leading Ukrainian universities, we developed a rigorous 13-module, 180- hour training program, complemented by 200+ hours of hands-on fieldwork, to certify Historic Preservation Program Managers.
These specialists are now leading teams to assess and plan the reconstruction of war-damaged buildings and infrastructure.
Historic Preservation
To date, our teams have completed five pilot projects, including the restoration planning of two historic buildings, two bridges, and one residential apartment block. We are now advancing the second training cohort of preservation managers.
Additionally, we have introduced SketchUp software training at eight Ukrainian vocational schools and community colleges, equipping the next generation of architects and designers with cutting-edge digital tools.

School Outreach
Ukraine will need an estimated 500,000 construction professionals to restore the country. Key to this is attracting secondary students by introducing them to advanced technologies. EAUA has supported visits by professors and students from LPNU to 93 schools, interacting with over 3,200 teenagers.
Trimble Technology Lab
EAUA delivers ongoing, on-the-ground support for the LPNU Trimble Technology Lab, including organizing a student-led design competition to shape the vision for the lab's comprehensive remodel and coordinating course development using TTL tools by other LPNU departments
Trimble Inc was awarded LPNU "Benefactor of the Year" for 2024, and EAUA received a certificate of appreciation.
"Thanks to Education Alliance for Ukraine, we're not only responding to today's challenges-we're preparing our students to lead Ukraine's recovery for years to come."
Professor Nataliia Shakhovska, LPNU Dean
Ukraine State Tax University
"We are profoundly grateful to the Education Alliance for Ukraine for their vital and ongoing role in assessing the damage to our university's main building and supporting the design of its future replacement. As the only academic institution under the Ministry of Finance, we are poised to play a central role in Ukraine's national reconstruction."

Institutional Partnerships
Accelerating Recovery Through Workforce Development and Digital Innovation
Education Alliance for Ukraine continues to work closely with Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science to establish high-impact workforce development programs
We are partnering with the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development on high-priority initiatives, including the construction of 50,000 social housing units for veterans, displaced families, and individuals with life-changing injuries.
We're working with the National Oil and Gas University to position it as a national leader in advancing Ukraine's role in the U.S.-Ukraine Critical Minerals Partnership.
We will help Lvivvodokanal create a cutting-edge water utility training center, H2Openspace, equipping public utility workers from across Ukraine with the tools and skills needed to rebuild Ukraine's essential infrastructure.
German Marshall Fund
EAUA has been working with GMF and Howard G. Buffett Foundation for the past 18 months. We helped coordinate a "Whistle Stop" in Colorado for GMF leadership, Howard Buffett and the First Secretary of the Ukraine Embassy in the US, Kateryna Smagly, including several hours at Trimble HQ.
Standford Center for Integrated Facility Engineering
In the fall of 2024 Trimble Foundation Fund gifted funds allocated to four scholarships for Ukrainian government architects and engineers to participate in the inaugural Stanford Center for Integrated Facility Engineering Virtual Design and Construction certificate program.
The implementation of this project has been delayed, but on April 17, 2025 EAUA implementation partner DOBROBAT and Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education signed an Agreement to begin the program in August 2025.
Education Alliance for Ukraine will coordinate the four Trimble Foundation scholarship and provide logistical support together with our local education partners.
